Still stranded,

I’m still stranded in Hong Kong,
Didn’t think it would be this long,
As I write this little song,
I say to myself, “What’s gone wrong?”

A little ash up in the sky,
Now, the planes, they won’t fly,
The flights to Europe are all awry,
It’s enough to make you cry.

Because of this volcanic cloud,
I am part of the waiting crowd,
Flights to Europe are not allowed,
“Take me home”, I cry aloud!

I must wait a few days, yet,
Despite this delay, I don’t fret;
I’ll get home soon, that’s a bet,
Staying in Hong Kong?  No sweat!

Cathay Boeing 747 takes off from HKIA

Well, I can wish, can’t I?
